No Magic Wand

Miracle starts to happen when you give as much energy to your dream as you do to your fears. I am sure we all have come across these words or say something very similar to this viewpoint in speeches or books. What is significant is the impression these words are trying to make, which is that the person who dares to believe in dreams is accustomed to meet and create beautiful life. The first stride is towards dreaming well and the other is towards its fulfilment.

We on look such persona today. Making governance more transparent and inclusive is what he and few others dreams of.

People are happy, delighted for today they saw a common man winning. We saw each one of us winning. The whole country watched the oath taking of the youngest CM of Delhi- Arvind Kejriwal in the heart of city with cheering aam admi. He is been doing everything possible and has been redefining the every inch of ‘democracy’ our India boosts about, though a long path awaits him. We all are thankful to him for making us believe in ourselves, that we require no magic wand but that the power lies in our votes. This day is going into the history books… the tale of how revolution struck against corruption and influenced the whole nation and brought powers to well-deserved people. They want each one of us to believe in change, the change our politics have failed to even touch from a very long time.

The era of Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Lal Bahadur Shastri, B. R. Ambedkar, Jyoti Basu is gone long back for whom the prosperity of nation came forth as priority. The far-sightedness and pragmatic characteristics of the leaders can be assumed from the fact that some of these framed the Constitution of India by inducting the best possible clauses of the world. They led the country from the front, without being showing any inclination to either of the power blocs, unlike now when the filling of one’s pocket, taking pride in the power and governing for meeting selfish is sheer goal and essence of almost each Politian.

We lack visionaries and leaders with soul. From time to time we have cursed every leader for what they have done to us and this diverse nation. Panchayati Raj to villages but no measure for restricting and punishing Khap Panchayat , Right to education but no quality schools and teachers for providing the mere right of knowledge and prosperity, right to information but no law for bringing them behind bars… there is rampant corruption, deterioration of political culture, electoral malpractices and lower standards of governance in all respects for example: Mere drawing politicians in comic strips takes the cartoonists behind the iron bars… Do they want to demonstrate their scornful authority? They save criminals, bring Politicians with no qualification as candidates and impose namesake lenient restrictions as eligibility criteria in electing, provide no security to the females on street and old at home… when the riot hit people see their children die in cold,  what good can be expected, at the end of the day we see all of them playing their beautiful game of blaming others… what they have done till date is like making castles on fertile land with hundreds of people dying hungry, when they were supposed to turn barren lands fruitful and bringing ideas into reality, the more I write it is less.
“A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality.”
The good thing is we have the group of people who dreamed and who wish to bring in little good into our dirty politics, the proof of which is the acmes of Ram Lila Maidan’s speech of today where he said,” A few people cannot do anything, we need to unite and fight together… The struggle was to give power to the people of Delhi…  ”. More than anything it’s the corruption which has broken the spirits of people like us. The new chief minister of Delhi won our hearts by saying,” If anyone asks for bribe, don't say no. Set it up and alert us. We will give you a phone number...and we will catch the officer red-handed…” with this the spectators roared in assent.

The AAP manifesto shows the clear picture of their vision, their dream and their magic spells. He rode in metro to reach ceremony standing tall reminding everyone of his pre-poll promise of ending the VIP culture. Their decision of taking oath in front of all countrymen depicts their strong aspiration, it shows they aren’t afraid to make each one of us as witness of their oaths and that they will prove themselves attitude.

If I go by the words dedication and involvement and promises till date of Arvind Kejriwal then we can hope for a better India, a more caring India where life of common dwellers is valued. I might be quoting this too soon but I feel With AAP in politics it seems dawn is not far away. I feel we have a bunch of common people as not only leaders with soul but torch bearers in modern politics.
We now hold a hope which we never saw coming, we now believe change is possible, we are not only part of this change but we represent the change. We the aam admi.

May God bless all those who are part of this change and let's keep our fingers crossed.
